Private Lessons and Field Sessions are intended for those who already have a certain amount of photographic knowledge and have some additional questions. NOTE: PRIVATE LESSONS ARE NOT FOR THOSE WHO ARE NEW TO PHOTOGRAPHY They're not meant to replace our normal classes. For instance, if you just purchased your first digital camera, you should take Get to Know Your Camera, not a Private Lesson. Or, if your time is limited, consider taking a Personal Class, where it's just you and Mike in the classroom. See Lesson Pricing.

PRIVATE LESSONS & FIELD SESSIONS:
Attending a photography class with other students is usually the best way to learn photography techniques, but each student is unique and will absorb material differently. And because everyone learns at their own pace, some specific needs and challenges may never be addressed in a workshop setting. So, from time to time, it helps to have personal photography instruction to get you unstuck and catapult you to the next level.
Whether it be general photography information or more specific technical and creative techniques in landscape photography, macro photography, or wildlife photography, Mike can help bring you to that next level of photographic expertise.
Based on various criteria and your specific needs, Mike will design the private lesson with a time period that should properly cover the topic. It may require an hour of instruction at Mike's home studio or a two-hour field session at a local nature preserve.
PERSONAL CLASSES:
For those who cannot make our scheduled classes, Personal Classes may be offered on a case-by-case basis. Essentially, Mike sits you down in the classroom and gives the class just to you. Please see our Pricing.
