Q: I just bought a new camera. Can I take your classes?
A: If you have a film or digital camera that does NOT have a built-in lens, then your camera will probably qualify for our technical classes. For our exposure class, it's required that your camera has Spot Metering or Partial Metering.

Q: I'm just starting out, what classes do you suggest?
A: Take the following classes and you will quickly be on your way: Get to Know Your Camera, Make Great Pictures Now!, Digital Photo Basics 1!, and Complete Exposure.

Q: I don't take nature pictures. Do you just teach nature photography?
A: We teach real life, unstaged photography, which is what most people do. Subject matter is not relevant. It doesn't matter if you photograph children or animals, flowers or bugs, landscapes or cityscapes, scenic shots or vacation pictures, the fundamental concepts are the same.

Q: I want to take portraits and studio photography. Can your classes help me?
A: If you are just starting out, then you still need to learn the fundamentals of exposure and composition. We can teach you that quite well. However, you will eventually need to take specialized classes in artificial lighting and portraiture that we have no plans in offering.

Q: Technical information really intimidates me. Are your classes complicated?
A: Actually, just the opposite. Because Mike is a self-taught photographer, he learned the hard way. With a degree in mathematics and physics, he is able to take complex information and simplify it. In fact, Mike uses PowerPoint and Photoshop to create visually intuitive graphics and animations to make learning easy.
