Workshop Application Procedure

All classes are filled on a first paid, first served basis, even if your application has already been approved. So, it is recommended that you pay by credit card to ensure placement.

To apply for classes or workshops, simply select your classes by adding them to your shopping cart. Then follow the checkout screens to pay and fill out your application. It's quite easy. And, if you have any questions or need any help, please call us 630-852-8448.

APPLICATIONS WITHOUT A DEPOSIT CANNOT BE PROCESSED.

You credit card will not be processed or your check deposited until you're application has been accepted.

There is no deadline for application. However, many of the workshops fill quickly, so prompt application is recommended.

Your participation for the entire workshop session is extremely important. If your schedule requires you to arrive after the start or to leave prior to the end of the workshop, please contact us.

ACCEPTANCE

Applications are reviewed to determine the experience of the photographer. We try to assemble classes with students of similar levels of photography experience. Please give thought to the "Background Information" section of the application. You will receive a letter providing detailed information and suggestions for preparing for the workshop.

If the workshop is already full when your application is received, we will put your application on hold for you to decide from three choices: take the class on another date, ask to be placed on a waiting list for that class, or cancel your application.

Important: We charge you only after your application has been approved, not when you place the order.

DEPOSIT, PAYMENTS, & GIFT CARDS

We accept credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express) or you can mail your check, money order, or Creative Eye Gift Card to:

If payment is by CHECK, MONEY ORDER, or CREATIVE EYE GIFT CARD you're application will not processed or accepted unless full payment is received within 7 days from the date on your invoice or, if your first class starts in fewer than 7 days, 48 hours prior to the start of that class. Therefore, to ensure quick placement, we recommended payment by credit card.

FEES

Workshop fees cover tuition only. Additional amenities such as travel, lodging, meals, etc. are not included unless specifically noted in the workshop description.

CANCELLATIONS, RESCHEDULING, & REFUNDS

If you wish to withdraw from a class, you must inform us no later than 30 days prior to the first day of your class, and we will refund your deposit or full tuition, whichever is applicable, less $50. Thereafter the entire amount is not refundable.

If you need to reschedule and take the class on another date from what you signed up for, please look at the class schedule and let us know the date that you'll be able to attend. You must take the same class.

There will be NO rescheduling fee, if you inform us about the change no later than 15 days prior to the first day of your class. Otherwise, you will need to pay a rescheduling fee equal to half the total class tuition. If you decide not to pay the fee, you will forfeit your tuition for that class.

If you are accepted into the rescheduled class, you cannot reschedule again without a full forfeiture of the tuition for that class.

If the tuition for the class is less than the cancellation or rescheduling fee, you will simply lose the amount of your tuition.

If it is necessary for us to reschedule or cancel a workshop, all registered participants will be informed immediately. The workshop will be rescheduled and, if you are unable to attend, you will receive a full refund.

ATTENDANCE

It is impossible to get the late student caught up on the material that is missed at the beginning of a teaching session because it would be unfair to other students. Therefore, it is essential that you arrive on time for class.

Arrive Late or Miss a Teaching Session: If you arrive late or miss a teaching session (as opposed to a discussion or fully hands-on session), you will not be allowed to continue with the remainder of the class and you will not receive a refund. That's because you missed too much information and you would not be able to catch up on your own. This is particularly true for the first session of most classes because it is always the most important teaching session. This includes classes like "Get to Know Your Camera," "Make Great Pictures, Now!," "Complete Exposure," etc. Unusual Exceptions: Certain classes are designed in a modular way and you may be able to catch up on your own without too much trouble. This includes our Adobe Photoshop and Photoshop Elements classes. Obviously, if you're late to a one-session class, just show up and learn as much as you can.

If you miss a teaching session other than the first and you'd like to pick up where you left off in a future class, you will be assessed a rescheduling fee equal to half the tuition of the class (as described above in "Cancellations, Rescheduling, & Refunds"). If you wish to repeat the entire class at another time, then you must pay the full tuition again.

Late to or Miss a Learning Adventure (Outing): If you are late to a Learning Adventure, there is no penalty. However, if you do not attend a learning adventure (outing), it will be recognized as a full cancellation. You may not attend the subsequent feedback session and or make up any sessions.
