Workshop Application Procedure
All classes are filled on a first paid, first served basis, even if your application has already been approved. So, it is recommended that you pay by credit card to ensure placement.
To apply for classes or workshops, simply select your classes by adding them to your shopping cart. Then follow the checkout screens to pay and fill out your application. It's quite easy. And, if you have any questions or need any help, please call us 630-852-8448.
APPLICATIONS WITHOUT A DEPOSIT CANNOT BE PROCESSED.
You credit card will not be processed or your check deposited until you're application has been accepted.
There is no deadline for application. However, many of the workshops fill quickly, so prompt application is recommended.
Your participation for the entire workshop session is extremely important. If your schedule requires you to arrive after the start or to leave prior to the end of the workshop, please contact us.
ACCEPTANCE
Applications are reviewed to determine the experience of the photographer. We try to assemble classes with students of similar levels of photography experience. Please give thought to the "Background Information" section of the application. You will receive a letter providing detailed information and suggestions for preparing for the workshop.
If the workshop is already full when your application is received, we will offer the opportunity to enroll in any other workshop still open, or to be placed on the waiting list and your entire deposit will be returned to you.
DEPOSIT & PAYMENTS
We accept credit cards (VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express) or you can mail your check, money order, or Creative Eye Gift Card to:
Mike MacDonald Photography
6200 Belmont Road
Downers Grove IL 60516
We must receive your check with 7 days from the date of application or your application will be cancelled. Again, to ensure placement, it is recommended payment by credit card.
FEES
Workshop fees cover tuition only. Additional amenities such as travel, lodging, meals, etc. are not included unless specifically noted in the workshop description.
CANCELLATIONS, RESCHEDULING, & REFUNDS
If you wish to withdraw from a class, you must inform us no later than 30 days prior to the first day of your class, and we will refund your deposit or full tuition, whichever is applicable, less $50. Thereafter the entire amount is not refundable.
If you need to reschedule and take your class on another date from what you signed up for, please look at the class schedule and let us know the date that you'll be able to attend. You must take the same class.
There will be NO rescheduling fee, if you inform us about the change no later than 15 days prior to the first day of your class. Otherwise, you will need to pay a $50 rescheduling fee (or class tuition, whichever is less). If you decide not to pay the fee, you will forfeit your tuition for that class.
If you are accepted into the rescheduled class, you cannot reschedule again without a full forfeiture of the tuition for that class.
If the tuition for the class is less than the cancellation or rescheduling fee, you will simply lose the amount of your tuition.
If it is necessary for us to reschedule or cancel a workshop, all registered participants will be informed immediately. The workshop will be rescheduled and, if you are unable to attend, you will receive a full refund.
ATTENDANCE
It is impossible to get the late student caught up on the material that is missed at the beginning of a teaching session because it would waste a great deal of time and punish the other students.
Therefore, it is essential that you arrive in time for class. If you are late for a teaching session (as opposed to a discussion session), you will not be allowed to continue with the remainder of the class and you will not receive a refund.
If you decide to pick up where you left off in a future class, you will be assessed a $50 rescheduling fee (as described above in "Cancellations, Rescheduling, & Refunds"). If you wish to repeat the entire class at another time, then you must again pay the full tuition.
POLICIES
No smoking or pets allowed on the premises or in natural areas. Use of cell phones is limited to breaks and mealtimes.
