Come photograph the rare Illinois prairie with internationally published prairie photographer Mike MacDonald. Mike will take you to a very photogenic location that should provide vibrant and luscious demonstrations of prairie flowwers and grasses. (Gift Cards for this outing are available.)

As with all of our Learning Adventure, Mike will provide guidance and help you with exposure, composition, etc. for those participants who stay with the group. And, the fun isn't over when we're done shooting. Oh, no. You'll get to show off your spiffy new images in a photo analysis session a few days later. Mike will provide constructive insights and feedback and, if necessary, suggest how to make improvements.

During this photography outing, we will begin in the late afternoon to catch the final light of day. Hopefully, we'll get some warm afternoon sunlight followed by a colorful sunset. Fingers crossed! But, the flowers should be wonderful even if the light doesn't want to cooperate.

Since our outings taking pictures, you need to be somewhat comfortable with your camera and how it works so that you can better enjoy the experience. Please read the Class Requirements for this course and feel free to email us or give us a call at 630-852-8448 if you have any questions.

LEARNING ADVENTURE AGENDA

The photo shoot will be held at a location to be announced once you are accepted into the course. Because of the time, we may need to gather at a common point and then carpool to the location. We will stay for approximately 4 hours and then, after the shoot, we'll go out for dinner and share our experiences. Then, a few days later, you're invited to show off your fine photographs from the adventure at a 2-hour photography analysis session in Downers Grove.

This photography class will be limited to approximately 6 students per instructor depending on the experience level of the participants. So, please register quickly to ensure a spot.
